The Contact Form 7 Skins (CF7 Skins) plugin has its own sets of settings. They let you configure various CF7 Skins options such as the CF7 Skins admin color scheme, toggle the export feature, and enable or disable visual data.

You can configure these settings from Contact >> CF7 Skins Settings.

In this article, we will go through all the options from the CF7 Skins Settings page and explain what each of them do.

CF7 Skins Settings provides the following options:

1. Asterisk
2. Admin Color Scheme
3. Export Form
4. Delete Settings
5. Visual Data
6. Show Field Names
7. Multi Scroll
8. License Logs

1. Asterisk

With the Asterisk option, you can decide whether to add or remove the asterisk (*) normally shown on required form fields.

If you enable the Asterisk checkbox, asterisk (*) is shown on the created forms.

2. Admin Color Scheme

You can choose between the available Admin Color Schemes for the CF7 Skins admin interface.

Following are the examples of different color schemes on the Templates tab of the CF7 Skins admin interface.

Tip: The Admin Color Scheme option does not change the color of the form. It only changes the color scheme of the admin interface of CF7 Skins. To change the form color, refer to our guide on understanding styles.

3. Export Form

CF7 Skins provides you the option to export CF7 form data so that you can import it to any other WordPress website.

If you enable the Export Form checkbox, you can see the Export Form button on the CF7 admin interface.

4. Delete Settings

With the Delete Settings option, you can specify whether to keep or delete the CF7 Skins data on your WordPress website even after you remove the CF7 Skins plugin.

Tip: If you choose to keep the CF7 Skins data, WordPress will store it safely if you ever decide to install CF7 Skins again in the future.

5. Visual Data

The CF7 Skins interface has a feature to display the JSON data of each CF7 form. You can use the Visual Data option to choose whether to hide or display the Visual Data in the CF7 Skins Interface.

If you enable the Visual Data checkbox, the Visual Data button is shown in the CF7 Skins interface.

Clicking the button displays the JSON data of the form.

Tip: You can copy and paste the visual data of a CF7 form to create an identical form using CF7 Skins.

6. Show Field Names

With the Show Field Names option, you can decide whether to show or hide the name of each field in the CF7 Skins Visual Editor while editing or creating a form.

If you enable the Show Field Names checkbox, the field labels are shown in the visual editor.

If you disable the Show Field Names checkbox, the field labels are hidden in the visual editor.

Tip: The field names are hidden by default. You can display them if you want to easily view the field names in the Visual Editor for debugging or mail configuration purposes.

7. Multi Scroll

The Multi Scroll option is only visible if you have installed CF7 Skins Multi on your website.

If you enable Multi Scroll, WordPress automatically scrolls to the top of the form when users switch form tabs.

Tip: The Multi Scroll option is enabled by default. You can disable it if you are facing issues with scrolling.

8. License Logs

The License Logs option is only visible if you have installed a CF7 Skins Add-on on your website. With this option, you can choose to display a separate Logs tab which displays the logs for the licenses you have purchased.

Tip: You can use the Logs tab to retrieve all the information of your licenses. CF7 Skins Support also uses it to solve license activation issues.
